Smoked Whiskey Burgers
The rich, smoky flavors of Traeger Wood Fired Grills will up your burger game. These mouthwatering Smoked Whiskey Burgers are expertly smoked and infused with the distinct flavor of whiskey.
Ingredients:

- 5 lbs ground beef
- 1/4 cup whiskey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Lettuce, tomato, and red onion for garnish
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, whiskey, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper
Mix well
Form the mixture into 4 patties of equal size
Preheat your Traeger Wood Fired Grill to 225F
Place the burger patties directly on the grill grates and smoke for 45 minutes
After smoking, increase the grill temperature to 400F
Grill the burgers for an additional 5-7 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last few minutes of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each burger and close the lid to melt the cheese
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes
Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, and red onion on the toasted buns
